Event Description:
FREE ENERGY SAVING SEMINAR
Come learn how to save money and conserve energy

Every month consumers pay an Energy Conservation Charge on their energy bills. This money is used by the Mass Save Program to provide a host of tax incentives, rebates and zero-interest loans to increase energy efficiency of homes and condominium associations. Many homeowners do not take full advantage of this allotted fund of money. This workshop will provide resources available to improve the energy efficiency of your home, or association and help reduce costs to your energy bill.

Our experts will also educate you on how residential solar panels work, including the variety of solar options, benefits, tax credits and current incentives. Going solar is complex and involves a thorough understanding of technology, federal, state, and local regulations, in addition to the financial factors that determine eligibility. We will discuss how the recent import tariff, which goes into effect after 2.5GW of panels are imported, may affect residential solar.

There will be ample time for questions. And all attendees will be able to sign up for a free, personalized energy audit and a solar consultation as a follow up and the only thing you need to bring is a copy of your energy bill.

The workshop will review:
  1. General energy saving tactics
    1. Describe what is done during a Mass Save energy audit
    2. Give examples of where one loses energy
    3. Review available tax incentives, rebates and zero-interest loans
  2. Solar options and if it would even be right for you
    1. How to read your utility bill - review supply vs. delivery
    2. How solar affects your relationship with the utility company
    3. Overview and comparison of solar programs - purchasing, financing and leasing
    4. How does the new tariff affect “going solar”?
