“The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow,” and when LINX Broadway Theater Students Perform Annie JR.
Based on the popular comic strip, “Little Orphan Annie,” Annie JR. tells of a spunky depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who left her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Roosevelt and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
“There’s a reason Annie is beloved among children and adults. It’s not just the catchy music and spunky choreography. It’s Annie’s character who always looks on the bright side, changes moments of despair into moments of hope, and never stops smiling and encouraging those around her to do the same. This show touches the hearts of everyone who encounters it, whether they are on stage or in the audience. The talented LINX performers would love your encouragement and support from the audience! A full house does so much for their confidence,” said director, Katie Schiering.
