Grab your brown bag lunch and join the students, staff and friends of Dearborn Academy for a Conversation with Congressman Joe Kennedy III. Representative Kennedy (D-MA) will share some of the national work that he is doing on mental health and other critical issues affecting young people.
The four-term congressman represents Newton and Needham in a diverse district that stretches from the suburbs of Boston to the cities of Massachusetts’ South Coast. He has established national leadership on the issues of mental health and substance use disorders, strengthening mental health parity laws, expanding Medicaid coverage, and ensuring that all children and pregnant women have access to mental health treatment.
Following the Q&A with the Congressman, stay for a short presentation of Dearborn Academy's innovative programs for students with mental health and other learning disabilities and a tour of our building.
Serving students with social-emotional and learning challenges since 1949, Dearborn Academy is especially honored to host the Congressman as part of our 70th-Anniversary Speaker Series.
