"It's on the tip of my tongue."
What was their name?
It's frustrating - because they told me their name 20 seconds ago.
Why is it so hard to remember people's names?
Welcome to networking events.
Most people blame their memory, but that's not fair.
You remember your friends' names.
You remember your colleagues' names.
Put the blame where it should be.
Blame the networking event.
There are so many distractions.
Your attention is split among
Making it worse - when people tell you their name, they immediately ask you a question.
They ask you your name.
As you say your name, you forget theirs!
Remembering names is more about focus than memory.
And networking events are so chaotic it's like a final exam for remembering names.
So I'm going to take you back to basics.
We're NOT going to turn their name into funny puns.
We're NOT going to concoct crazy mental images.
We're definitely NOT going to annoy them by repeating, and repeating, and repeating their name.
Instead, we'll learn to pay focused attention in that moment they say their name.
And we'll realize that you don't have to remember their name forever.
Just for a few minutes, in fact.
For one very simple reason (I'll share the reason in the course).
I'll take you step by step through my process for remembering names.
First we'll do the Brain Shift Exercise.
You'll notice exactly when their name vanishes from your memory.
And we'll work on techniques to automatically grab hold of their name.
Then we'll play the Customer Care Game.
This will help you focus on their name while saying yours and remembering your Elevator Pitch.
I'll show you two ways to play this game as part of your daily routine so you get better at remembering names both on the phone and in person.
Finally, I'll introduce you to Familiar Faces.
It's a full system that helps you learn and grow from novice to expert in remembering names.
You'll get to the point that people's names automatically stick in your memory even when you're not focused on remembering them.
In summary:
By the end of this program you'll be better at remembering names, plus you'll have simple skills and drills you can use to get even better over time.
The program includes a private 30-minute coaching call directly with me.
There are only 25 slots.
