The restaurant business was among the industries hit hardest by the pandemic. And the dining scene in Wellesley has been far from immune. Join us for a panel discussion about the road to recovery for existing restaurants and steps the town can take to attract new establishments to fill a growing number of empty storefronts. We’ll discuss how Article 21 (a measure that would allow smaller restaurants to serve alcohol that goes before Wellesley Town Meeting next month) can potentially help existing small restaurants and attract new boutique and specialty eateries here. And we’ll brainstorm others ways we can nurture and rebuild the dining scene that can elevate the entire business community.
Our Panelists:
Jeremy Sewall, chef/owner, Row 34
Jay Spencer, owner, The French Press
Brad Wasik, owner, Wasik's Cheese Shop
Laura Wolfe, co-owner The Cottage and Wellesley Tavern
Angela VanArsdale, senior director of retail leasing, Graffito SP
