About Us

The New Art Center is a community art education space which offers everyone, at all levels of ability, exceptional opportunities to make, exhibit, view, think about and talk about art.

We offer 70 classes each semester in ceramics, painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, stained glass and woodworking for all ages. NAC presents 12 - 14 exhibitions and artist residencies each year in two galleries, ranging from student and faculty work to nationally recognized, cutting edge exhibitions curated by rising curators at the leading edge of contemporary curatorial practice. NAC's workshop program offers one-time and short courses to try out our faculty and your skills.

NAC is committed to providing a welcoming, engaging environment to explore the experience of art. Our home in a 19th c. church building has only one level accessible by ramp, but on that level we have both exhibitions and classes, as well as accessible bathroom facilities. Scholarships are available for classes, and exhibitions are always free.
